Where does my money go?

Rotary is well-known for its contributions to local initiatives.  Rotary continues the philosophy of 100% Charity fundraiser –100% volunteers.

The Rotary Club of Kelowna Sunrise focuses on supporting, developing and implementing literacy, educational, humanitarian, recreation, wellness and environmental programs, projects and activities that assist the community in meeting the needs of its citizens and improving the quality of life for children, youth and adults within the community.  Check out the “Rotary Supports” site under “More” on this website.

The primary charity of choice this year is JoeAnna’s House, a residence that provides a Home Away from Home for families of patients who do not live in the community when their loved ones are referred to Kelowna General Hospital.  Visit https://www.kghfoundation.com/joeannas-house for more details.

Why JoeAnna's House?

Every year, thousands of families travel to KGH for specialized medical care, not available in their home communities.  Accommodation in Kelowna is expensive and often nearly impossible to find.  This is why the KGH Foundation has committed to raising $8 million to build JoeAnna’s House to support families in a time of need; and this is why the Rotary Club of Kelowna Sunrise is actively financially supporting this humanitarian project.

Can local businesses, organizations or individuals sponsor activities at the RibFest?

Sponsorships are a key part in making the Interior Savings Sunrise Rotary RibFest a success.  The Interior Savings Credit Union as the title sponsor, along with a wide variety of sponsorships from business and individuals, enable the Rotary Club of Kelowna Sunrise to increase the net profit from this event to make an even greater impact in addressing the needs of our community.  From media sponsors to Family Day and mainstage sponsors, ranging in contribution size from ¾ rack, ½ rack, ¼ rack and Friends of Ribfest, we gratefully acknowledge their support through print, web, stage and signage.  We would welcome other interested businesses, organizations and individuals as sponsors.  Check out the Sponsorship Page on this website for more information.

Can I make a donation to assist the Rotary Club of Kelowna Sunrise in doing their good work?

You certainly can!  Any amount that you can donate will be gratefully accepted as this will enable the Rotary Club of Kelowna Sunrise to offset some of the costs and thereby enable the club to financially support those in need and more community projects and events.

Donation boxes will be situated throughout the site to receive your welcome support.  All donations will go to JoeAnna’s House.

Buy a Raffle Ticket for a chance to win one of the five prizes. Check the "Raffle" page under "Events" for details.

Is my dog welcome at the RibFest ?

Sorry dog owners! While dogs are awesome and just as welcome as people in many situations, unfortunately, health bylaws do not permit pets (service dogs excepted, of course) on the RibFest site.  We are operating a restaurant/dining site so there are limitations.

What do I need to know about the Beverage Gardens?
